SANTO -- Jean Petty, 86, a resident of the Santo area for more than 50 years, passed away Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at his residence in Santo. Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lone Camp Church of Christ, 7379 S. FM Road 4, Palo Pinto. Jerry Thomas will officiate. Burial: Santo North Cemetery, North of N. FM Road 129 on FM Road 4, Santo. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home, 101 N.E. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells. Jean Petty was born Feb. 1, 1923, in Mexia, the youngest of four sons of the late Robert Lee and Ouida Edna Winn Petty, both of Marquez. Jean honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War II and continued his service at Fort Wolters until retirement 26 years later. He was a member of Lone Camp Church of Christ. Jean was preceded in death by his wives, Geraldine Martin Petty and Mary Louise Carr Petty; granddaughter, Ana Paula Reynoso; his parents; and three brothers. Survivors: Children, Robert Lee Petty and wife, Fonda, of Huntsville, Ala., Gladys Wilks and husband, David, of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Peggy Reynoso and husband, Paul, of San Antonio, and Terry Petty and wife, Troy, of Asheville, N.C.; grandchildren, Michelle Blackman and husband, Alan, Jonathan Wilks and wife, Victoria, Jeremy Wilks and wife, Deanna, Judith Graham and husband, Ben, Samuel Wilks, Daniel Reynoso, Nathan Reynoso, David Reynoso and wife, Jennifer, and Robert A.
