Ralph Frazier Hood

SPRINGTOWN -- Ralph F. Hood, 85, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2009. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home in Springtown. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home. Interment: Lake Charles, LA. Ralph will be laid to rest next to his loving wife who passed away May 13, 2005. A prayer service will be held 10 a.m. at Consolata Cemetery Chapel Ralph was born June 12, 1924 in Springtown, to the late Roger and Hettie Hood. Ralph served two years in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He also served in the United States Army in the Korean 5th field artilary in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After the service, he worked for Haliburton Company for 36 years and retired in 1985 in Palestine. Ralph was a Mason in Palestine Lodge 31. Ralph was preceded in death by his brothers, Ross, Ford, and George; also a sister, Vi Green. Survivors: many nieces and nephews. White's Funeral Home Springtown, 817-220-7111
