Jerry Floyd Harmon, 70, passed away Friday, December 18, 2009 in Weatherford. Service: 9:00 A.M. Monday, December 21 in White's Chapel of Memories. Graveside Service: 3:00 P.M. Robert Lee Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday at White's Funeral Home. Jerry Floyd Harmon was born in Coke County February 22, 1939 to Floyd Calloway and Jesse Dora Creech Harmon. He and wife, Janie had been married for 38 years. Jerry enjoyed fishing and hunting. His work in construction and spending time with his grandchildren and family were his biggest joy. Survivors: wife, Janie Harmon of Weatherford; children, Jeanette Lea Boyd of Whitewright, Darwin Harmon and wife, Joan of Safford, AZ., Damond Harmon of Lake Dallas, Tamara Hortenstine and husband, Lee, Jason Harmon and wife, Nova of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Chelsea Boyd of New York, Deese Hilley of Anna, Hunter and Zoey Hortenstine of Bronte; great-grandchildren, Sidney and Lucy Hilley of Anna; mother, Jesse Dora Harmon of Robert Lee; sisters, Lawana Askins and husband, Foy of Robert Lee, Dorene Bearfield and husband, John of San Angelo and Jeffie Roberts and husband, Bobby of Robert Lee; and a host of friends.
