Mary Madeline Savage

Mary Savage died Saturday, January 2, 2010 in Fort Worth, Texas. Funeral: 10:00 am, Thursday, January 7, 2010 at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford. Burial: Restland Memorial Park, Dallas. Visitation: Wednesday, 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mary was born March 15, 1920 in Seagoville to James and Lillie Hurt. In 1927 Mary married Joe Edd Savage Sr. and they were married for 65 years. Mary and Joe resided in Dallas and Lake Whitney before moving to Poolville in 1977. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and was a retired nurse. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Edd Savage in 2002; sons, Joe Edd Savage, Jr, and Jimmy Dan Savage; brothers, Elmer and Tommy Hurt; sisters, Lena Ballard, Clara Verble and Geneva England. Survivors: Daughter, Madeline Hirsch; grandson, Tony Hirsch and wife, Theresa; great-granddaughter, Nicole Martinsen.
