Dixie D. Young

Dixie D. Young, 73, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 11, 2010 in Fort Worth. Service: 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 14 in White's Azle Chapel. Interment: Jay Bird Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Dixie Young was born November 7, 1936 in New Haven, MO. to George and Carrie Thompson Nichols. She was a long time resident of Azle. Dixie loved fishing, cooking, playing games and being with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 54 years, Joseph Paul Young in 2009; a son; two brothers; and a sister. Survivors: daughters, Myrna Jo Sisk and husband, Roy, and Terrie Nunnally all of Azle; twelve grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; one sister; one brother; and numerous friends and acquaintances.
