WEATHERFORD -- Cliff Reding, 83, passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2010,surrounded by family at his residence in Weatherford. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Shady Grove Baptist Church,2470 West Lambert Road, Weatherford. Clifton Floyd Reding was born Feb. 22, 1926, in Corene, Okla., sonof the late Joseph Marian and Myrtle Lee Major Reding. He honorablyserved his country in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman First Class duringWorld War II and was discharged in 1946 at Norman, Okla. Cliffmarried the former Helen Stinnett on June 5, 1947, in De Queen,Ark. Cliff retired from Worthington Operating Co. after 17 years,where he was a mechanical engineer. He also worked at The FortWorth Star-Telegram for 19 years and ran Cliff's Heat and Air formany years. Cliff was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Cliff was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, GlennReding; and sisters, Gladys Hodges and Ruby Smith. Survivors: Wife of 62 years, Helen Reding of Weatherford; son,Glenn Reding and wife, Patty, of Weatherford; grandson, JonathanReding and wife, Lindsay, of Edmond, Okla.; granddaughter, JenniferReding of Weatherford; great-grandsons, Blake and Zach Shockey ofWeatherford; brother, Charles H.
