SPRINGTOWN -- Della N. Bobbitt, 89, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, ay a local nursing home. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday in White's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home. Della Bobbitt was born Oct. 12, 1920, to Chaldee and Patta Ford in Davenport, Okla. Della and her husband owned and operated West Texas Oil Co. in Springtown for many years. She was an avid bowler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Bobbitt Sr., in 1983; son, Danny Bobbitt; and two brothers. Survivors: Sons, Sidney Bobbitt Jr. and wife, Sue, of Lubbock; Mike Bobbitt and wife, Kay, of Tucumcari, N.M., and Patrick Bobbitt and wife, Mary Lou, of Azle; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Hughes and husband, Joe, of Bowie; and many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
