Norma Gay Taliaferro

Norma Gay Taliaferro, 68, passed away Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb.4, at the First Baptist Church ofSpringtown. Interment: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home. Norma Taliaferro was born October 15, 1941 in Richamond, VA. Shewas the daughter of Eva Mae and Charles Kent. She was also a longtime resident of Springtown. Norma was an avid Christian who lovedthe Lord and dedicated much of her life to teaching Sunday schooland spreading His Word. She loved to travel with Sam and wasblessed to be able to see much of the world in her lifetime. Normaenjoyed spending time with family and was a very big part of thelives of her grandchildren. She loved being outside and working inthe garden. Her creative spirit will always be with us in thedesigns of her gardens, her paintings, her ceramics and numerousother mediums. She was a Godly woman who blessed all of those whoknew her. She was preceded in death by her parents and both sisters. Survivors: husband, Sam Taliaferro of Springtown; sons, KennethTaliaferro and wife, Dawn, Michael Taliaferro and wife, Sandy allof Springtown, and Chuck Taliaferro and wife, Lecreca DVM ofHaslet; daughter, Cathy Swofford and husband, Johnathan ofSpringtown; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; also agreat church family; and numerous friends and acquaintances.
