Dorotha F. Branum

Dorotha Branum,83, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 in an Azle hospital. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2010 in Azle. Pastor Johnny Baker and Minister Joy Roberts officiated at the service. Dorotha was born Jan 28, 1927 in Beaukiss to Ivan and Susie Fagg West. Dot enjoyed bowling and been a member of several bowling leagues in her earlier years and had an active interest in both her daughters riding horses, rodeos and cutting. While she also enjoyed horses she was also attached to her dogs and cats. Dot worked for serveral years at Azle Manor Nursing Home. She was a certified nursing assistant. It was there she spent the last five years of her life as a resident. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Elwood Branum who died in 1983; and two brothers. Survivors: daughters, Barbara Fulkerson and husband, Boo of New Mexico and Debbie Branum of Weatherford; sisters, Marcia Anderson of Austin and Helen Homan of Copeland; several nieces and nephews.
