Kate Hawley Forrest

Kate Hawley Forrest, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 16, 2010. Services: 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 19, 2010 at White's Chapel of Memories. Visitations: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Kate was born October 19, 1914 to Royal and Mamie Hawley in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She married Charles C. Forrest in Graham on November 7, 1934. They were married for 59 years. Kate lived a full and active life, was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, and did her best to see that her faith was passed on to her children and grandchildren. Kate and Charles loved to travel and often took trips with her sisters. Kate was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter-in-law, Mary Lou; great-grandson, William Reid Jenkins; 2 brothers; and 5 sisters. Survivors: sons, Larry Forrest and wife, Patsy of Waco and Tim Forrest of Amarillo; 3 grandsons; 4 granddaughters; and 17 grandchildren, a wonderful legacy. She is also survived by sisters, Ruth Stewart and Ida Mae Sikes.
