WEATHERFORD -- Franklin Boley Pearson, 86, died in Weatherford at his home on Saturday, March 20, 2010. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Weatherford. Interment: East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to First Baptist Church, 306 Palo Pinto, Weatherford, Texas 76086. He was born in Whitt on March 25, 1923, to Flossie Geneva Boley and John Mitchell Pearson. He was a graduate of Weatherford College and a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific in seven major engagements. He married Evelyn Hill on March 11, 1947. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church and served as a member of the building committee for the present First Baptist Church building. He was employed by the Merchants and Farmers State Bank for 28 years, serving as president. Boley received his broker's license and operated Boley Pearson Real Estate, Inc. for more than 32 years. He was a member of Rotary and Optimist International, Weatherford ISD School Board, and a 62-year member of the Parker County Sheriff's Posse. Survivors: He leaves for our Christian care and concern his wife of 63 years, Evelyn Elizabeth Hill Pearson; daughters, Linda Pearson Heatly, Pam Pearson Noland and husband, David; grandchildren, William Stanford Heatly IV, Brian Geoffrey Heatly and wife, Arron, Christopher Boley Heatly, John David Noland, Paul Michael Noland and wife, Mandy.
