Julian "Red" Fickett, Sr., 85, passed away Monday, April 5, 2010 at his residence. Services: 2:00, Thursday, April 8, 2010 at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 Thursday. Julian was born March 16, 1925 in Lubec, Maine to Thomas and Evelyn Fickett. He lived in Aledo for more than 30 years; moving from Hartford, CT. Julian retired in 1988 from Houston General Insurance Co. then served as City Secretary of Aledo for 10 years. Julian was a long time member of the Aledo Christian Center. He loved to read and also loved attending the Aledo High School football games. The family request memorials to Bob King Ministries, Inc., P.O. Box 87, Quemado, TX 78877-0087. Julian was preceded in death by his parents and all his siblings. Survivors: wife, Sandy Fickett of Aledo; sons, Julian Fickett, Jr. of Lubec, Maine and John Evan Fickett of Arlington; daughter, Julie Ann Isinghood and husband, James of Benbrook; grandchildren, Lauren Lee and Emerson Robert Isinghood; cousin, Helen Small of Zephyrhills, Florida; numerous nieces, nephews, and a loving church family.
