James Chandler Berkley

James C. Berkley, 83, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at his home. Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday in White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Interment: Community Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home. James Berkley was born May 31, 1926, the son of James H. and Lora Berkley in Weatherford. He retired from Lockheed Martin after 48 years and was a member of the Phoenix Lodge for 50 years. Mr. Berkley was in the Army and National Guard a total of 38 years. James was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Berkley, and sisters, Lorene Keith and Irene Berkley. Survivors: Wife, Linda; sons, James L. Berkley and wife, Thanh, of Fort Worth and Joe D. Berkley and wife, Deborah, of Aledo; daughters, Glenna F. Doyel of Fort Worth and Tink Conrad and husband, Wilber, of Weatherford; stepchildren, Gary Evans and wife, Lisa, of Saginaw and Phyllis Bullon and husband, Terry, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Kirk, Kerri, Betty, Douglas, Landy, Andrea, Chris, Nathan, Machelle, Betty Jo, Summer, Tony, Marc, Twila, Hung and Khang; brother, Eugene Berkley; sisters, Margaret Boteler and Marie Scherer; nine great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
