Norman R. Scroggins, 68, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010, at his home.Service: 2:00 p.m., Wed., May 12, 2010 at White's Funeral Home Chapel, 401 N. Main Street, Springtown.Interment: Hog Branch Cemetery, County Road 4764, Keeter.Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at White's Funeral HomeNorman was born October 11, 1941 to Eugene and Mildred Lynch Scroggins in Boyd. He graduated from Boyd High School in 1960 and honorably served in the United States Navy for four years. Norman married Dell Rhea Woodard on October 10, 1964 and they began their life together. He was a long time resident of Springtown, and was the owner of Parker County Businesses, Scroggins Welding and Dirt Works and Scroggins Wrecker Service. Norman loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Mildred Scroggins; his brother, Jerry E. Scroggins and father and mother-in-law, Norman and Tina Woodard.Norman will be missed greatly by all.Survivors: Wife of 45 years, Dell Rhea Scroggins; sons, Douglas Ray Scroggins of Poolville; Darrel Ray Scroggins and Clinton Ray Scroggins, both of Springtown; seventeen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Delbert Scroggins of Big Spring; sister, Delorice Elaine Illchen of Cushing; numerous nieces and nephews.
