William Lee Young

William "Bill" Young, 69, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 in Fort Worth. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Ash Creek Baptist Church. Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 18 at White's Azle Funeral Home. Memorials: in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Bill's name to Ash Creek Baptist Church's Youth Building Fund. Bill was born July 27, 1940 in Fort Worth to J. Frank and Lucille Young. He was a 1958 graduate of Springtown High School and attended Weatherford Junior College and Texas Christian University. Bill retired from General Dynamics in 1993. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Azle and the Masonic Lodge #601 of Azle. Bill was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: wife of 45 years, Sharon Townsend Young of Azle; daughter, Melinda Young Maynard and husband, Patton; son, Michael Young and wife, Mandy; sister, Betty Young Grubbs; grandchildren, Megan Maynard, Patton Maynard, Jr. and Mason Young; niece, Julie Harrison; and nephew, Jeff Harrison.
