SPRINGTOWN -- Gerald Boyd, 67, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Service: 11:00 a.m. Sat., May 22, 2010 at White's Funeral Home Chapel, 401 N. Main Street, Springtown. Interment: Goshen Cemetery Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Gerald was born Feb. 12, 1943 to Caley and Wilma Boyd. He was a long time resident of Wise County. Gerald was a businessman, inventor, an avid farmer, he loved the outdoors, and was a strong supporter of NRA and was proud of his gun collection. Gerald served our country proudly in the United States Army and National Guard. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed. Gerald was preceded in death by his Parents. Survivors: wife, Sharon Boyd; sons, Garrett Boyd and wife, Dee, Darrel Boyd and wife, Katie, Mitch Boyd and wife, Veronica; grandchildren, Brittney, Dustyn, Payton, Caley, Colby; great-grandchildren, Zoe and Ava; brother, Larry Boyd; sister, Deanna Boyd.
