Martha Jones, 81, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 28, 2010. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 2 at The First Baptist Church of Castle Hills where she was a member for over 50 years. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, June 1st at White's Azle Funeral Home. Interment was in Ash Creek Cemetery. Martha Marsh was born June 13, 1928 in Young County and married the love of her life, Bill Jones on June 2, 1945 in South Carolina. As the matriarch of her wonderful family, she was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a beautiful lady who showered her family with unconditional love, encouragement, and praise. She was a proud grandmother who doted on and pampered her granchildren while making each of them feel as if they were her favorite. Mrs. Jones exuded grace, elegance, and class in everything she did, whether it was an artist of breathtaking landscape paintings; as a seamstress; as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt or a friend; or in her devotion to the Lord. To her family, she was the sun in their days and the moon in their nights - the one constant that will forever withstand time. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Jones;her mother, Effie Marsh; her father, Dan Marsh; four brothers; and two sisters. Survivors: daughters, Carolyn Carlile and husband, Jack of Azle; son, Don Jones and wife, Valerie of Azle; daughter, Linda Cox and husband, Steve of Hickory, Pa.; grandsons, Chris Carlile and wife, Becky, Matt Carlile, Jon Carlile and wife, Lisa, Tim Carlile, Scott Mears, Dan Jones; granddaughters, Jennifer Mears, Angela Bennet and Mandi Jones; great-grandchildren, Baylee Carlile, Fish Carlile, Chasity Carlile, Ashlyn Carlile, Myshe, Austin and Leedon Jones and their mother, Hope, Courtney, Cheyenne, and Jeffery Mears, Kyle and Ryan Scott, Trevor Pitts, Majia and Drake Bennet; and great-great granddaughter, Emery Nichole.
