William Glenn Yeary

William Glenn Yeary, 77, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010, at a hospital in Fort Worth. Memorial service: 2:00 p.m., Friday at White's Chapel of Memories. Interment: Private service at Memory Gardens of the Valley. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Weatherford or to the Gideon International. Glenn was born July 26, 1932 in Cochran County to Ralph and Laura Yeary. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1959. After his discharge, he enrolled in Texas Tech College where he earned a degree in Business Administration before becoming a CPA. Mr. Yeary was employed by Texaco for 39 years. After retiring from Texaco in 1999, he spent 13 years employed by Midland College before moving to Weatherford. Glenn became a Christian in 1960, joining a Baptist Church and remaining an active member in a local church wherever he resided. He was an active member and deacon at First Baptist Church in Weatherford until the time of his death. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Laura Yeary and his brother, Robert Yeary. Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of almost 52 years, Doris; son, Bill Yeary and wife, Janice of Benbrook; daughter, Linda Diane and husband, Russell Dunn of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Danielle of Benbrook and Lauren, Ryan and Josiah of Wichita, KS; step-mother, Oneta Yeary of Morton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
