Robert Othol Griffin

Robert Othol Griffin, 43, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010. Funeral Service: 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 3, at White's Azle Chapel. Memorials: Donations may be made in Robert's name to your local NA group. Robert was born November 14, 1966 in Azle to Thomas Eugene Griffin, Jr and Patricia Ann Steele Griffin Vernia. He attended Azle High School and TCJC in Fort Worth. Robert was extremely active in Suicide Prevention Teams and Grief Counseling Teams. As an accomplished artist he was also a Pencil Art Instructor. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Griffin; and loving step-father, Larry Vernia. Think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched... for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much. Survivors: mother, Pat Vernia of Azle; son, Christopher Robert Griffin of Gulfport, MS; Christopher's mother, Kimberly Goodwin; daughters, Amber Dawn Griffin and Brittney Alexis Griffin both of Decatur; mother of his daughters, Rhonda Climer; brother, Kwin Smith of Weatherford; sister, Dianne Meinerts of Fort Worth; several nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
