SPRINGTOWN -- Jessie Warren, 89, passed away Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home Chapel, 401 North Main St., Springtown. Interment: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Jessie Arnold Warren was born May 10, 1921, in Westover, the youngest of seven children of the late Jesse and Lillian Boyd Warren. Jessie met and married the former Betty Garman on July 9, 1942, and they began their life together. Jessie honorably served his country in the United States Army in Germany during World War II under General Patton and was discharged after four years. Jessie and his four brothers served during World War II at the same time. Jessie was a rock hound and loved to go to the diamond mine in Arkansas and hunt topaz in Mason. He loved all varieties of flowers and had a really green thumb. Jessie was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; two sisters; and daughter-in-law, Kathy Warren. Survivors: Wife, Betty Warren; sons, Garland Warren and Gayland Warren and wife, Cathy, all of Springtown; grandchildren, Keith Warren, Eric Warren, Jaclyn Christian and Kevin Warren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving family and friends.
