Joan Ellen Milburn

ARLINGTON -- Joan Ellen Milburn, 70, passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, surrounded by family in Arlington. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Friday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Avenue, Weatherford. Interment was in East Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials: In lieu of usual remembrances, the Milburn family suggests memorials in Joan's name to the Weatherford High School Class of 1958 Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 1768, Weatherford, Texas 76086. Joan Ellen Milburn was born Jan. 2, 1940, in Weatherford, daughter of Howard and Helen Boyd Bellenger. Joan graduated from Weatherford High School in 1958, where she started dating Albert Milburn. She married Al in Weatherford on Aug. 29, 1958, and they began their life together. They moved to Arlington in 1970, where she made a career with Vandergriff Chevrolet for 26 years in various administrative duties in the sales office. Joan was preceded in death by a son, Albert O. "Trecy" Milburn in 1988; and her father. Survivors: Husband, Al Milburn; sons, Scott Milburn and wife, Lisa, and Doug Milburn, all of Arlington; grandchildren, Natalie Joan, Jesse, Tanner, and Macy; mother, Helen Bellenger; brother, Dana Bellenger and wife, Wendy, of Grapevine; aunt, Mildred Cotten Chandler; nephew and niece, Zachary and Rachel; and numerous cousins and loving friends.
