Delores Elizabeth Hightower

GRAFORD -- Delores Hightower, 73, passed away Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, surrounded by family in Olney. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home, 401 North Main St., Springtown. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeralhome. Delores Elizabeth Hightower was born Nov. 29, 1936, in Chicago, Ill., the youngest of five children to the late Samuel R. and Delores Rose Gray Helms. Delores married Dale M. Hightower Sr. on Nov. 17, 1956, and they began their life together. She loved to crochet and collect what-nots. Delores was a member of the Baptist Church. Delores was preceded in death by a daughter, Trina Himes, in 1985; grandson, Josh Hightower; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Worth; parents; two brothers; two sisters; and son-in-law, Ted Summrall. Survivors: Husband of 53 years, Dale M. Hightower Sr. of Poolville; daughter, Tina Winkler and husband, Greg, of Graford; son, Dale M. Hightower Jr. and wife, Jennifer, of Big Sandy; grandchildren, Will Hightower, Donnie Harwell, Renee Prince, Vickie Worth, and Joey Hightower; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces, Vickie, Susan, Delores, and Sandra; and a host of loving family and friends.White's Funeral HomeSpringtown, 817-220-7111
