Gloria Mae Hamilton, 81 passed away Monday, September 6th at her home inWeatherford. She was born September 2, 1929 to Hugh J Luke and Stella (Hamon) Lukeat their home near a curve in the road (designated "Curve City" on her birthcertificate) outside of Enid Oklahoma. After graduating from Beaumont High School,Gloria attained a Bachelors degree in Chemistry from North Texas University, aBachelors degree in Mathematics from Lamar University, and a Masters degree inMathematics from Stanford University. She taught AP Calculus and Computer Scienceat Highland Park High School, in Dallas for 28 years. She loved to tell storiesabout her family, her former students, and her time at Stanford. Gloria had alifelong love of photography. Her favorite subjects included nature, itsrelationship to mathematics, and her grandchildren. She was the very proud motherof three, grandmother of six, and great grandmother of one. Gloria was an activemember of the Parker County Retired Teachers Association and Community Bible Study.Gloria is survived by cherished husband of 59 years, Christopher J. Hamilton Jr.,sons Chris and Gary Hamilton of Austin, Tx, and daughter Sandra Husmann ofWeatherford, Tx, grandchildren Stephen and Jordan Husmann, Matthew, Laura, and DavidHamilton, Courtney Hamilton, and great grandson Jayden.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 11 at 1 pm at Trinity BibleChurch 4936 E I-20, Service Road South Willow Park, TX .
