GRAFORD -- Floyd A. Hauser Jr., 84, a great dad, grandfather, and friend, passed away Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, while he slept. Floyd Arnold Hauser Jr. was born Jan. 18, 1926, in Lindon, Penn., son of the late Floyd Arnold and Elsie Haines Hauser. He was a corporal in the United States Marine Corps 1st Division during World War II and served in the Asiatic-Pacific Arena from September 1944 to December 1945. Floyd received the Presidential Unit Citation with one star for his service in Okinawa, Ryukyu Islands from April 1945 to June 1945. Floyd was a longtime resident and former mayor of Manchester, Kan. He could fix anything and help anyone. Floyd was preceded in death by a grandson; his parents; and a sister. Survivors: Wife, Beverly Hauser of Abilene; children, April Brown of Graford, David Hauser of Cottonwood, Ariz., Steven Hauser of Dallas, Vincent Neil of Roseville, Calif., Lena Crusha of Graford, Sherry Clousten of Hope, Kan., Valerie Hauser of Camp Verde, Ariz., Tina Tanner of Salina, Kan., and Lisa Picking of Abilene, Kan.; 30 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
