Vincent Wade Henson

Vincent Wade Henson, 78, beloved hero went to be with The Heavenly Father September 27, 2010. Services: 2:00 pm Thursday at White's Chapel of Memories. Interment will follow at Spring Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 Wednesday at the funeral home.He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Bina Henson; siblings Patricia Howell and Thomas B. Henson of Hawthorne, Alabama, Dr. Edmund Henson of Mobile, Alabama; his children, Rebecca, Robert and Elaine Henson of Weatherford, Tim and Tay Henson of Wichita, Kansas, David and Sarah Henson of Austin, TX; and many nieces, nephews, grand and great grandchildren. Vincent was born June 25, 1932 in Mount Vernon, Alabama, served in the US Army, serving his country honorably during the Korean War, earned his electrical engineering degree from Mississippi State University and retired from Lockheed after 36 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising cattle and spending time with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
