Mary Ann Harris, 85, passed away September 29, 2010 in Parker County. Services: 11:00 Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at White's Chapel of Memories. Interment will follow at Hoggard-Reynolds cemetery in Azle. Visitation: 6 to 8 Monday. Mary was born in Cambridge, England in 1924 to Frances and Louisa Farrington. She was one of eighteen children, five of which still survive. In 1945 Mary married an American soldier named Truman Harris, thus making her a war bride. Coming to the US in 1946 they settled in Texas and spent most of their 38 year marriage between Texas and California. They were blessed with ten children, 27 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Mary brought a lot of spice from across the pond, leaving a warm, comforting place in many hearts and will be missed greatly. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Riley Harris; son, Billy Ray Harris; and daughter, Karla Joy Moore. Survivors: sons, Kenneth Riley Harris, Jack Andrew Harris and wife, Kathy, Phillip Keith Harris, Owen Lee Harris and wife, Jennifer, and Doyle Shaun Harris and wife, Carmen; daughters, Peggy Louisa Harris, Sharon Fay Gonzalez and husband, Ralph, and Karen Kay McGowan.
