Larry Eugene Roberts

WEATHERFORD -- Larry Roberts, 60, went home to the Lord he loved on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, in Weatherford. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Pastor David Merchant will officiate. Burial: Memory Gardens of the Valley Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Larry Eugene Roberts was born June 27, 1950, in Spencer, W. Va., son of the late Howard Garfield and Mary Eloise Carper Roberts. Larry served his country in the United States Air Force in Thailand during the Vietnam Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1972. He loved to visit with his friends whether flying model airplanes, riding motorcycles, camping, or just drinking coffee. Larry was happiest when his family was around him. He dearly loved his family. Larry attended Criswell Theological Seminary and was married to the former Tina June Mize. Larry was preceded in death by his father in 1977; and his mother in 1996. Survivors: Wife, Tina J. Mize Roberts of Weatherford; son, Jason Eugene Roberts and wife, Karyn Leigh Martin Roberts, of Weatherford; daughter, Jennifer Lynn Roberts of Waco; grandchildren, Ethan Frank Roberts and Marleigh June Roberts; sister, Patricia Carol "Patti" Roberts White of Gallatin; brother, Gary Wayne Roberts of Staunton, Va.; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving family and friends.
