Violet O. Green

Violet Green, 95, passed away October 8, 2010 at her residence. Services: 1:00 Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Church of Christ, Graford. Interment will follow at the Graford Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 9 Friday, October 15, 010 at White's Funeral Home, Mineral Wells. Violet was born April 30, 1915 in Palo Pinto County. She was a long time resident of Palo Pinto County. She was a rancher, business woman, philanthropist, housewife, mother, and very dear friend. She was a member of Graford Church of Christ, Graford Fire and EMS Auxillary, and Graford 50's Plus Club. Violet was on the first Graford girls basketball team to go to state play offs in 1932. Violet was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; and brother, sister, niece, and beloved little dog, "Tuffy". Survivors: son, James Thomas Green and wife, Rose of East Texas; granddaughter, Scarlet Green of Dallas; family members and care givers, Bobby and Marion Green, Dave and Michelle Merryman, and their sons, Colby Green, Seth Merryman, and Bryce Merryman; also numerous other family, friends, and acquaintances.
