Dorothy Hollingsworth, 82, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010 in Humble. Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Thursday at Walnut Creek Baptist Church. Interment: New Hope Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. at White's Azle Funeral Home. Dorothy was born to Fred and Maude Noyce Wortman February 17, 1928 in Newark, N.J. She was a longtime resident of Azle having moved to the Humble area in the last two years to be near her daughter. Dorothy was a member of Walnut Creek Baptist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William "Bill" Hollingsworth; stepson, Donny Hollingsworth; and brother, George Wortman. Survivors: Daughter, Susan Emmons and husband, Jimmy, of Humble; stepsons, Gene Hollingsworth and wife, Barbara, of Fort Worth, Jerry Hollingsworth and wife, Jo Ann, of Reno; grandchildren, Travis Worthen, Deanna Williams, Mike Hollingsworth, Robin Minter, Shelli Haas, Jennifer Herrera, and Tammy Young; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and numerous loving friends.
