Service: Funeral and celebration of life 2 p.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home in Springtown. Interment: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home in Springtown. Memorials: Gifts may be made in her memory to Parker Paws, P.O. Box 781, Weatherford Texas 76086. Ann was born April 22, 1923, in Fort Worth to Katie Mae Huber and Thomas John Passmore. She was a resident of Springtown most of her life. As young children during the Great Depression, Ann and her sister, Mildred, were raised in Corsicana. Ann married Bailey on June 4, 1940, moved to Springtown, and often worked with Bailey throughout their marriage. In the '60s and '70s they owned a Phillips 66 service station near the present-day Exxon in Springtown. Through the years from childhood to adulthood Ann had a strong and tenacious spirit. She was brave but respectful, and stern yet kind. Her precious pets, stories and laughter are very cherished memories. If you knew Ann or Bailey you would see them with a beloved pet everywhere they traveled, just around town, visiting friends and family, or on their favorite summer trips to Colorado each year. Ann was a member of First United Methodist Church in Springtown. She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son, Thomas Bailey, in 1945; sister, Mildred, in 1977; and her husband of 63 years, Edward Bailey Gilliland, in 2003. Heartfelt thanks to Harris Methodist Hospital and the James L. West Hospice House in Fort Worth for their fine care and dedication to the quality of life of every patient.
