Dean Anderson McKay, 68, passed away Wednesday, Ocotober 20, 2010 in Azle. Funeral Service: 11:30 A.M. Friday, October 29 at White's Azle Funeral Home, 105 Denver Trail, Azle. Interment: 2:30 P.M. Friday Oct. 29 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: Wednesday, Oct. 27 and Thursday, Oct. 28 from 6 to 8 P.M. at White's Azle Funeral Home. Dean was born October 9, 1942 in Denton to R. L. and Luella Armor McKay. After serving 20 years in the United States Air Force he retired as Master Sergeant. Dean had also been employed with Atkins Construction AMC. He loved to watch western programs. Chief Dean Grey Wolf McKay, became Chief in 2005 of the Cherokee Running Horse Band. He was preceded in death by his step-father Bill Myers. Survivors: wife, Alice McKay; son, Scott McKay; daughter, Debbie McKay; son, Jimmy McKay; son, Robbie Shortnacy; daughter, Angela Shortnacy; grandsons, Robert Lee McKay, Joseph Burnham; granddaughter, Kendra Shortnacy; grandson, Kenneth Ryan Shortnacy and Trey Shortnacy' great-granddaughters, Cheyenne McVay and Aiden McVay; mother, Luella Myers; sister, Patricie McLemore.
