Jason Anthony Savage

Cpl. Jason Anthony Savage, 24, passed away Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at Fort Hood. Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at White's Funeral Home in Mineral Wells. Interment to follow will be private. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Jason was born June 16, 1986, the son of James and Jo Ann Savage in Irving. He was a resident of Mineral Wells for 16 years. Jason was currently serving in the U.S. Army in Fort Hood, Company B, 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division. He served one year in Iraq. Jason was preceded in death by his sister, Jessica Savage; and grandfather, Alvin Holmes. Survivors: include his father, James Savage; mother, Jo Ann Savage; step-father, Stanley McCoy; grandmother, Pearle Holmes; step-sisters, Cindy, Amy, and Lee Ann; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many loving friends.
