WEATHERFORD -- Jerrell Wayne Traweek, the love of my life, is walking in heaven today after a two-year courageous fight with lymphoma. He passed away Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010. Graveside service: 1:30 p.m. Monday in Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Highway, Weatherford. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at White's Funeral Home. Memorials: American Cancer Society, in lieu of flowers. Jerrell was born April 9, 1940, in Weatherford, the son of Finus and Lillian Traweek. He graduated from Weatherford High School in 1958. Wayne served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from Bell Helicopter and Lockheed Martin. The family would like to thank the Class of 1958, the nurses on the 7th floor at Baylor All Saints, and his hospice nurses. A very special thank-you to his wonderful niece, Judy Kay "Dum." Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; brother, F.O. Traweek Jr.; sister, Judy Ann McDaniel; and son, Jerry Traweek Jr. Survivors: His bride, Joann Traweek; sons, James Traweek and Kent Fisher; daughters, Dana Brackeen and Angelia Woodbury; grandchildren, Jason and Justin Traweek, Daniel and Vanessa Fisher, Jenny and Travis Brackeen and Amanda and Josh Woodbury; great-grandchildren, Darbie Hopke and Tison Wayne Brackeen Neal; and many nieces and nephews.
