Charles Martinez

Charles Martinez, 74, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2010. Funeral: 11 am Thursday at White's Chapel of Memories. Interment: Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy, Weatherford. Visitation: 7 to 9 pm Wednesday at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford. Charles was born October 7, 1936, the son of Antonio and Petra Guiterrez Martinez in Wilson. He was in the U.S. Army for two years and in the reserves for four years. Charles retired from Lockheed Martin in April, 2010 after 33 years. He was a member of Templo Sinai in Weatherford for 34 years. His favorite hobby was collecting coins. Charles had a passion for serving the Lord. He was very generous and giving to his church. When a need arose in the church, he was the first to volunteer his help. Charles witnessed to family, friends, and strangers about the Lord. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; son, Freddie Martinez; grandson, Randy Galindo Jr.; brother, Mike Martinez; and sister, Marta Hernandez. Survivors: wife of 48 years, Natalie; sons, Ricky Martinez and wife, Dominga of Chico, Randy Galindo of Fort Worth, Christopher Martinez and wife, Heather of Waxahachie; daughters, Sandra Flores of Aledo, Sylvia Martinez of Mineral Wells, Christine Guerra and husband, Steven of Weatherford; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe, Tony Ramon, Ernest, and Marshal Martinez and Richard Pina; sisters, Geneva Delgado, Marta Trevino, Susanna Franco, and Hilda Arrellano.Services are in care of:White's Funeral HomeWeatherford, 817-596-4811
