Thommi Hensley, 64, a longtime resident of Springtown, passed away Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at White's Funeral Chapel, 401 N. Main St., Springtown. Interment: Jaybird Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Thommi Lavonne Hensley was born May 9, 1946, in Portsmouth, Va., daughter of the late Palmer and Evelyn Matthews Gerde. She married Ron Hensley in Weatherford on Aug. 25, 1979, and they began their life together. Thommi was a member of a local pigeon club and enjoyed the sport with her father in California as a child and Texas as an adult. She loved to dance and began ballroom dancing with her father at a young age. Thommi was also a decorator and loved to work with crafts. However, her greatest hobby was her grandkids, to whom she was a loving "Mimi". Thommi was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors: Husband, Ron Hensley of Springtown; daughter, Vicki Hensley of Springtown; sons, Lucas Hensley of Springtown and Lee Nolan of Plano; grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Tatum, and twins, Lexie and Lanie; sister, Ree Stomer and husband, Ray, of Kingsport, Tenn.; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving family and friends.
