James Gray, 72, a longtime resident of Azle went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 18, 2010. Service: 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 23 at The First Baptist Church of Azle. Interment: Azleland Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, December 22 at White's Funeral Home. James was born October 29, 1938 in Steven County to James Davis and Gladis Franklin Gray. He had retired from the Fort Worth Fire Department after 35 years of service. James had many names, Dad, Papa, Old Papa and Muffin Man. He loved his family very much, often the peacemaker and a man of many stories. Survivors: wife, Margaret Joyce Gray; children, Vic Gray and wife, Sylvia of Azle, Dede Roby and husband, Steve of Saginaw, and Shannon Grimsley and husband, Kenneth of Springtown; grandchildren, Crystal Jackson and husband, Donald, Holly Simmons, Deann Prouty, Kellye Roby, Ashlee Holman, Kayla Grimsley, Adilene Estrada, and Jesus Trejo; great-grandchildren, Carter Hale, Brett Jackson, Loren Jackson, Tyler Jackson, Justice Simmons, Alex Simmons, Barrett Ramsey, Miranda Beckwith and Madison Beckwith.
