Anne Oakley Gomez, 78, wife, mother, artist, and servant, returned home to her Lord Jesus on the evening of December 21, 2010 after a long battle with lung disease. She won her battle in the end. Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Aledo United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials may be made to Aledo United Methodist Church, 100 Pecan St., Aledo, TX 76008. Anne Gomez graduated TCU (1959) with Bachelor's Degrees in Art and Language. She was an accomplished artist in stained glass and paint. With a deep love for horses, she rode since her youth. Married 45 years she was the mother of three sons and one daughter. Her daughter, Ana Carolina Gomez preceded her into the kingdom in 2009. She is home now and she will be highly honored and greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Alejandro Gomez of Aledo; her sons, Rafael Antonio Gomez of Fort Worth, Alejandro Gomez, Jr. and his wife, Tracy of Abilene, Andre Ramon Gomez of Grand Prairie; grandchildren, Mason Andre, Alexis Michelle, and Trey Alexander; siblings, Bill Meredith of Terrell and Peggy Rudolph of Houston. She is also survived by nieces, Debbie Meredith, Kathy Meredith, Susy Meredith; and a host of loving friends and family.
