WEATHERFORD -- Charles Wall Hamilton, 87, a long time Weatherford resident, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010. Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Weatherford, 221 West Church St., Weatherford. Burial: East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Avenue, Weatherford.In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to First Baptist Church of Weatherford Memorial Fund. Charles was born May 7, 1923, son of the late James and Bertha Wall Hamilton in Grapevine. Charles was a graduate of Grapevine High School and attended NTAC (now UTA) in Arlington. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. After serving in the US Navy during WWII, he enrolled in mortuary school in Dallas. He worked for a time for Shannon Northside Funeral Chapel in Fort Worth. Charles married the former Beth Milburn, a Weatherford native, who was a secretary at the funeral home. They soon moved back to Weatherford and joined the White's Funeral Home Staff where he served for over 50 years. He was a long time member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Weatherford, the Rotary Club, and the Phoenix Masonic Lodge. Survivors: Wife, Beth Hamilton of Weatherford; daughter, Kay Fidler and husband, Rick, of Weatherford; sons, Pat Hamilton and wife, Sharon, of Weatherford and James Hamilton and wife, Kelly, of Washington, DC.; five grandchildren, Lisa Livingston, John Fidler, Julie Walker, Carol Bortzfield, Ruby Hamilton; 7 great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Livingston, Taylor Livingston, Jacob Livingston, and Cassidy Livingston, Tate Walker and Grant Walker and Chloe Bortzfield; sister-in-law, Ann Witherspoon and brother-in-law, Albert Milburn.
