W.R. "Wendy" Chilcutt, 82, passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at his home in Springtown. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at White's Funeral Chapel, 401 N. Main St., Springtown. Burial: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. W.R. "Wendy" Chilcutt was born July 28, 1928, in Springtown, son of the late Frank and Beulah Rich Chilcutt. He attended school in Springtown with his future wife, the former Ramona Louise Morgan, in Springtown. They also lived about a mile apart for a number of years as children. Wendy loved to dance and listen to country and western music, especially Merle Haggard. He really loved the chicken dance. Wendy was a member of First Baptist Church of Springtown and was baptized in 2000. Wendy was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Chilcutt; son, Terry Chilcutt; parents; and a brother, John Wesley Chilcutt. Survivors: Wife, Ramona Chilcutt of Springtown; son, Gary Chilcutt and wife, Sharon, of Springtown; daughter, Pam Walker and husband, Dave, of Tucson, Ariz.; step-children, Sue Carter of Jacksonville, Donna Taylor and husband, Bill, of Tuttle, Okla., and Robert Wagoner and wife, Linda, of Fort Worth; brother, Dave "Bo" Chilcutt and wife, Ann, of Springtown; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of loving friends.
