Glendora Rutledge Simmons

Glendora Rutledge Simmons, 81, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011 in White Settlement. Services: 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Springtown. Interment to follow in Veal Station Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at White's Funeral Home, Springtown. Glendora was a longtime resident of Olney/Springtown. She was a great fan of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and also an avid quilter. She was always involved in her church and any school activities. Glendora was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, and her parents, Marvin and Nannie Pearl Rutledge. Survivors: daughters, Lorene Clerihew of Peaster, and Linda Russell and husband, Charlie of Peaster; sons, Harold Simmons, Jr. and wife, Venice of Olney, Clif Simmons of Wichita, KS., Perry Simmons of Saginaw; sister, Gwendola Pennington and husband, Jamie of White Settlement; eight grand children; and eight great-grandchildren.
