David Alan Noland of Weatherford, Texas, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011. He was 58.David was born on February 1, 1952 in Greybull, Wyoming. He grew up in Weatherford where he graduated from Weatherford High School in 1970. He received the Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University in 1974.After graduation he began work in finance and appraisals. He held positions at First National Bank of Joshua and Mutual Bldg and Loan Association in Weatherford, and also other family-owned businesses before he started his own appraisal business, Noland and Associates. He was a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker.In 1973 he married Pam Pearson of Weatherford, and on December 29 he and Pam celebrated their 37th anniversary. They have two sons, John David Noland of Weatherford, and Paul Michael Noland of Dallas.David was a member of the First Baptist Church in Weatherford. His professional affiliations included the Central Texas Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and the Texas Association of Realtors. His community involvements included membership in the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce, the Evening Lions Club, and Ducks Unlimited.He was a devoted son, husband, and father, and an avid outdoorsman. He had participated in a number of fishing tournaments, and was on a hunting trip when he passed away.He is preceded in death by his father Truman Noland, and father-in-law, Boley Pearson.He is survived by his wife Pam; his sons, John, Paul and his wife, Mandy; his mother Barbara; his sister, Linda Nation and her husband, Garry of College Station; and also his mother-in-law, Evelyn Pearson; and sister-in-law, Linda Heatly, both of Weatherford.Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Weatherford. Interment: Memory Gardens of the Valley. Visitation will be on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011 at White's Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to First Baptist Church of Weatherford.
