Larry Don Pope

Larry Don Pope, 67, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 in Lewisville. Service: 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 21 at The First Christian Church in Mineral Wells. Interment: Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday at White's Funeral Home, 101 N.E. 4th Avenue, Mineral Wells. Don was born November 23, 1943 in Mineral Wells to Alton and Juanita Pope. He was a longtime resident of Arlington. Don loved to fly, ski and boating. He graduated from Mineral Wells High School and was a member of Kappa Kappa Psi at UTA. Don was a professional architect steel designer for 40 years and past president of The National Institute of Steel Detailers. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors: Life partner, Delores Downard of Lewisville; daughter, Kim Pope Dye of Irving;nephews, Kent, Keith and Kelly Pope; brother, Dan Pope and wife, Sharon of Lubbock; and a host of friends and loving family.
