WEATHERFORD -- Mark McGowan, 24, passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, in Weatherford. Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday at New River Fellowship, 3252 E. I-20, Hudson Oaks. Interment: Aledo-Brown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Memorials: In lieu of usual remembrances, Mark's family suggests contributions be made in his memory to New River Fellowship, 3252 E. I-20, Hudson Oaks, Texas. Mark Allen McGowan was born Nov. 26, 1986, in Fort Worth, son of the late Eddie Lynn McGowan and Tammy Jo Kelly Feimer. He graduated from Weatherford High School with the class of 2005. Mark, nicknamed "Tweeter" during high school, played on the varsity football team and also baseball for WHS. He also played softball for the Blaze and New River Fellowship. It was said that if you cut Mark, he would bleed maroon; he absolutely loved all things Aggie. Mark was a member of New River Fellowship. Mark was preceded in death by his father in November 2010. Survivors: Mother, Tammy Feimer and husband, Nick, of Weatherford; sister, Lynn McCreight; nephew, Chase McCreight of Watauga; grandparents, Jim and Josie Kelly; grandmother, Nathalyne Kelly of Hempstead; great-aunt, Terry Dahse and husband, Ross, of Hempstead; girlfriend, Amanda Brown of Weatherford; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and a host of loving family and friends.
