Hazel Gwen Ketcham

Hazel Gwen Ketcham passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 6, 2011 in Weatherford where she resided for over 20 years. Hazel was born August 22, 1925 in Wheellock, Texas, the eldest of three daughters born to Homer and Gertrude Barnett. She attended Brownwood schools. As a young woman she was active in the Eastern Stars. She spent much of her working career with State Reserve Insurance Company in Ft Worth. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Maurice , and by her husband of 29 years, Wesley Ketcham. Through her marriage to Wesley she became the step-mother of five children, Burrell Ketcham (Linda), Larry Ketcham (Chong), Trecia Hamlin (Jim), Jerry Ketcham (Gail) and Reginald Ketcham (Gina). She is survived by her sister, Velda Hall, her children and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hazel had many friends through her sunday school class at First Baptist Church. Among her neighbors of many years, friends and family she will be greatly missed.
