Frank Warren Kirkpatrick, age 82, died Wednesday, March 09, 2011 at the local hospital in Weatherford, Texas. Warren was born June 4, 1928 in Weatherford, Texas to Frank and Sybil Albright Kirkpatrick.Warren Kirkpatrick graduated from Weatherford High School, Weatherford College and North Texas University in Denton. He was retired from Stewart Title in Weatherford. Warren was also retired from the Sonora School District where he worked as a librarian. Previously he taught high school art for Temple ISD.Warren developed a deep love of Japan and everything Japanese while in the U.S. Army and stationed in Japan after the Korean Conflict. Warren was a genteel, kind, loving, generous and highly intelligent man who loved the theater and the arts, particularly opera. His faithful companions were his six Japanese Shiba Inu dogs. He studied the Japanese language and enjoyed Japanese movies. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Sybil Kirkpatrick of Weatherford, TX.He is survived by his siblings, Betty Kirkpatrick Samson of Schenectady, New York; James Kirkpatrick and wife, Mary Ann of Flint, Texas; and John Donald Kirkpatrick and wife Roberta of Weatherford, Texas. He is also survived by 6 nephews and 2 nieces, plus numerous great- and great-great nephews and nieces and several cousins.
