Russell Wayne Tuggle, 92, loving father and grandfather passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011 in Fort Worth. Graveside service: 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 26 at Laurel Land Cemetery in Fort Worth. In Lieu of flowers, you may make contributions to warriorsforbrandi.org. Russell was born May 5, 1918 in Longview, Illinois to Frank and Myrtle Eliza Driver Tuggle. He was one of eight siblings. Russell was in the mobile home business, Tuggle's Mobile Home Repair business in Haltom City for forty years from the late 1940's until he moved to Robstown and opened his fruit stand which he worked until he retired. He was governor of Moose Lodge #1100 in the 1960's. Russell honorably served his country in World War II aboard the USS Hobby. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother of his children, Eva Anderson Tuggle Richardson; second wife, Lois Ann Tucker Tuggle; son, Larry Williamson; stepson, Floyd Vincent and grandaughter, Paula Bailey. Survivors: children, Shirley Thornton and husband, James, Rosie Mitchell and husband, Larry and Roger Williamson and wife, Pat; sister, Jeanette Bretz and husband, Wallace; precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and acquaintances.
