WEATHERFORD -- Danny Joe Piper, 45, passed away Monday, April 25, 2011. Celebration of remembrance: 10 a.m. Friday in White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pecan Valley Mental Health and Mental Retardation. The local facility website accepts donations on line at www.pvmhmr.org. Danny Joe Piper was born Feb. 2, 1966, in Odessa, son of Joe and Charlene Bennett Piper. He attended Garner School for eight years and graduated from Peaster High School. Danny obtained his agricultural business degree from Tarleton State University. He was a proud member of the FFA. Danny was preceded in death by his grandmother. Survivors: Daughter, Danielle Piper; father, Joe Piper and wife, Margie; mother, Charlene Durham; stepfather, Donald Durham; sister, Tammy Gilbreath; stepbrothers and stepsisters; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and close friend, Loraine.
