John J. Lamm

John J. Lamm went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at age 71. Graveside Memorial Service: 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Ash Creek Cemetery, 300 S. Stewart St, Azle. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made in memory of John Lamm to the Salvation Army, 3023 N.W. 24th Street, Fort Worth, TX 76106 or Oasis Christian Centre Church, P.O. Box 1303, Azle, Texas 76098.John, a loving husband, and father, was a man of contagious energy, leaving an imprint of love on hearts everywhere. He had an unforgettable affect on those that passed his way. John had a passion for challenging others to step up to higher ground, and encouraged them on their journeys. Born in Germany, he escaped over the Berlin Wall at the age of 14. He came to the United States at the age of 22, and was naturalized in 1968. In 1988 he graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. His wisdom, assertiveness and courageous determination inspired many. The summation of his heart was that people would not see him, but rather would see Jesus in him as he was a vessel for the Lord. He is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years, Susan Lamm of Azle; and daughter, Sharon from Westfield, Indiana.
