Darwin Louis Guy, 71, passed away in Dallas on Saturday, April 30, 2011. Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, at Outreach Of Love Church, 3591 E. Highway 199, Springtown. Interment: 2:30 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitition: 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home. Memorials: Darwin would be honored for donations to be made in his memory to Gideons International, Box 317, Decatur, Texas 76234. Darwin Guy was born Dec. 7, 1939, to Doris and Vernon Hahn in Port Angeles, Wash. He was adopted at the age of 3 by Charlie and Ruth Guy of Macksville, Kan. He married Anna Hagewood in Trousdale, Kan., on Oct. 8, 1961. Darwin served four years in the United States Air Force and was stationed at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla. He served one tour of duty in Thailand and Vietnam. Darwin joined Gideons International in 1976 and served in local and state positions as he pursued his passion to get God's word into the hands of people everywhere. He owned and operated Springtown Feed and Fertilizer from 1976 to 1990. During that time he owned and operated several convenience stores in the Springtown area. His family was the joy of his life, and he was most recently overjoyed with the birth of his first great-grandchild, Miss Lilah. Darwin was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Vernon Hahn Jr. Survivors: Wife of nearly 50 years, Ann; daughter, Kris Terry and husband, David; granddaughters, Jessica Mooneyham and husband, Trice, and Jaclyn Taylor and husband, Dustin; grandson, Jordan Terry; great-granddaughter, Lilah Mooneyham, all of Springtown; brother, Kenneth Hahn; and sisters, Marilynn McGinnis and Cindy See, all of Topeka, Kan.
