Judy Ferguson Buckland

WEATHERFORD -- Judy Buckland, 53, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 5, 2011, at her home in Weatherford. Judy Buckland was born April 29, 1958, in Owenton, Ky., daughter of the late Granville and Carolyn Ferguson. She graduated from Owenton High School with the class of 1976 and furthered her education at Georgetown College, where she received a Bachelor's degree. Judy married Steve Buckland in 1979 in Marcus, Ky., and they were blessed with three girls. Judy and Steve moved to Weatherford in 2005 and she became very active at First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and started the Women's Ministry. She was also the VBS director and worked VBS for several years. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Teresa. Survivors: Husband, Steve Buckland of Weatherford; daughters, Stefanie Long and husband, Patrick, of Keller, and Sarah and Emily Buckland of Weatherford; grandson, Zachary Long; sisters, Pam and Missy; brother, Tim; and a host of loving family and friends. Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: Brock Cemetery. At Judy's request, there will be no visitation.
